Most Useful Photoshop Brushes for Digital Painting

Beautiful Magic Woman Portrait. Golden body and face. Eyes close

I caught myself on the thought that I`m using practically the same brushes for digital illustrations. So in this post, I`d like to share them with you. You`ll be able to download them and practise yourself.

1. Hard round brush.

This brush is great for the first colour layer. It helps to create more colour variations. Also, I use it for painting rough highlights, using it with eraser tool with different hardness.

2. Ragged hard round brush.

Also great for the first colour layer. Only aside from applying colours, its edges will prevent the transitions from being too rough.

3. Blending spackled brush.

It`s a nice brush to choose when you want to blend colour tones together. Smooth the transitions with this brush, while picking the colours with an Eye Dropper tool.

4. Dust brush.

My favourite dust brush for creating glow and particles flying around. Also great for creating metallic texture.

5. Grunge texture brush.

I used it in this particular illustration for creating bronze metallic texture. Can be used as well for painting dirt.

You can download set of this brushes here.

Hope you`ll find them useful. Let me know in comments if you have any questions.
